Get back up you! For you never know, tomorrow might be your best day ever! The sooner you accept this, the sooner you'll prepare!
I glean lots from the story of David, and I always wondered… why did he pick 5 stones as he geared up to fight the giant?
I think… he did it in case he needed another shot!
While some tell us that in life we only get one shot, David seemed to have known better; so instead of entertaining his ego and trusting his warrior skills, he prepared in case he needed to reload; however, all the while with his eyes steady on the target and his heart and #faith in #God.
Now Dave wasn’t a saint. In fact, he failed many times and had blood on his hands. Likely, he never got a second lucky shot with any other giant. Nevertheless, his humility and ownership of mistakes, made him #resilient and accepted as perfect in the eyes of God, so in the end he sits among the victors forever.
I think that David’s secret was his name, which in Hebrew means “beloved”. When we realize that we are loved by God, no giant, no demon, no struggle, can ever overcome us.
“4 for the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.” Deuteronomy 20:4
So if you are feeling sorry for yourself for missing that first shot, take the freaking second, third, fourth, or however many!! The faster you get back up the faster we’ll get through…
Get ready for #victory!! 🔥🔥
